CCIP: Preparation for the Interview

OMG!!! It has been looooonnnnnggggg time since I posted my last post here. Have been so busy with assignments, tests and volunteers and of course my new blog with all my experience here in Valley. LOL

Everyday I am learning here. Oh ya, ngomong-ngomong (Need to talk in Indonesia LOL), teman-teman dah terima kabar dri AMINEF ya? Alhamdulillah kalau kalian lolos ke tahap wawancara, tapi untuk teman-teman yang belum berhasil, don't be sad, ini hanyalah kesuksesan yang tertunda buatmu. God has planned something for you. 

So, back to the point, here I wanna give you guys some information how the interview of CCIP is. Last year, the interview was on December 12 (mine). so Aminef sent us E-ticket 1 week before our departure date to Jakarta. For those of you who are scheduled to have ITP test, you better get ready for the test. But don't get worried too much. Aminef always provides the ticket, accomodation and money for your lunch, dinner and breakfast (I hope, they do not change their regulation LOL). So you do not need to worry about money. All you need is to prepare yourself for the most important day for you "INTERVIEW". 

Last year, My friends and I were scheduled to have an interview with different times. Mine was from 11.30 to 11.45. But because satu dan lain hal, interviewnya dimajukan. so it is better for you guys, to be one hour earlier at the Aminef office just in case they change their schedule. When I had my interview, I came 1 hour earlier. Two of the candidates were scheduled to have the interview at 11.50-12.15  but because Mr. MCcoy had to leave the office to go somewhere, the schedule had to be changed. Aminef called them and asked them to get into the office within 10 mins, but they could not make it because when Aminef called, they were still sleeping (You better wake up earlier LOL) and one of Aminef employers got disappointed because of that, hasilnya, 2 candidates tersebut belum bisa lolos untuk tahap wawancara. I am telling this because I just want you guys to appreciate the time, Please come early.

Talking about the interview, last year, there were 5 of interviewers (for me, I do not know for other friends). 2 bule, dan 3 orang Indonesia. All the questions they asked, were about the application that I sent. Here are some general questions that they might ask you:

1. What is your goal for the next 5 years?

2. What can you do for your country?

3. How will you promote your country to the U.S?

4. Why are you a best candidate for this program?

5. Tell us about yourself!

6. Who are the most inspire people in your life?

Besides that, I wanna give some suggestions for you guys;

Pease reread or print the application that you sent them because all the interviewers will sit in  front of you with your application. 

Dress professionally, because you are going to have an interview with important people who will decide whether you are going to get this scholarship or not. 

 Do not be nervous (I know some people do, but don't worry, everything is gonna be okay) They will not bite you there LOL

Focus on answering the question they ask. Do not talk about things that is nothing to do with the questions. Focus, focus, focus. 

Do not worry about your grammar, the most important is, you talk (bukan ngomong yang gak nyambung ya lol). My English was awful when I had the interview (even now it is still, LOL) , but thanks God, They understood hehe. 

Answer the questions with a truth, no lies. They know when you tell the truth or lie.
