I feel so sad because I have not written anything here since past two weeks. Disini saya super duper sibuk. Banyak pekerjaan yang harus dilakukan tepat waktu. PR semakin menumpuk. So I did not have enough time to write anything here. But, since now I have few mins free, I decided to write about my experience today.
An hour ago I just got back from volunteer. Rasanya senang banget bisa melakukan sesuatu untuk orang lain. Aku, Juan, Agung dan Yermi (Y is pronounced J in Spanish) went for volunteering in Mesa which was not too far from our apartment. Yermy's host mom dropped us there.
Disana kita membantu Boys and Girls Club untuk mengumpulkan dana untuk charity. This fund raiser was so great because there were lot of people came and registered for the program, especially the kids. Tujuan utama program ini adalah untuk membuat anak-anak menjadi interaktif dan aktif bersama orangtua mereka. So in this volunteer program, the kids came with their parents and spent some time together. There were lots of games for the kids such as water sliding, cradling and playing basketball, dan beberapa permainan yang sangat menarik buat anak-anak. When we were there, Kami berempat bertugas menyajikan makanan untuk anak-anak dan para orangtua yang datang. We served Hamburger and Hotdog, it was free though. Four of us spent about six hours there. I love to see the smiles in those kids face. They were so energetic with the games. We had a good time there. We also took some pictures but I will upload it later on my facebook since the camera is not mine, so I need to get the pictures from Yermi’s apartment first. I promise I will upload later in here or on Facebook.
