Kadidiri, I am in Love

Well Snorkelling was just a word which didnt have any meaning for me until yesterday. All I knew, snorkeling is just an unprofitable for me and I never thought that I would fall in love with the natural beauty under the sea. Well, I tried this fascinating activity when I was in Kadidiri, when I went to meet my new family in Kadidiri last week.
Yeah, It is pretty odd, I was born and grew up in Togean Island, but the fact, I had never done Snorkelling before , well may be because I did not have snorkelling mask, I guess.

After breakfast, Brane (Barbara’s man), Jens and Chemille invited me to go snorkelling. Honestly I was not very interested because I thought snorkelling is not much different from swimming (I was stupid that time hehehe).

So, four of us (Brane, Jens, Chemille and me) got in the water. Brane started to teach me how to snorkel. But the funny thing is, I didn’t  even know how to use the mask for snorkling (am I that stupid or too innocent?! Hehe :D ). Brane taught me how to use the mask (Jens and Chemille were stared at me when I tried to use the mask, I was shy actually). At the first time, I tried to put the mask on but after two or three minutes, I  took it off because it was really hard for me to breath through my mouth (may be I didn’t get use to  breath through my mouth thats why). Brane explained to me that I would get use to it. After practicing how to use the mask, Brane showed me how to snorkel (at that time I thought it would be easy because I just need to swim) but it was not  like what I expected. Brane started to snorkelling and swim like a fish and I just watched him for few minutes before trying to do the same. Jens and Chemmile did the same.

Three of them were snorkelling and I just watched. After few minutes, Brane asked me if I am ready for my first snorkelling. I told him that I am ready. I tried to do the same as Brane, Jens and Chemmile do. So four of us were swimming together. And O O O MY GODNESS!!! When I snorkled and saw under the water, I was freaking surprised. The view was reallllllyyyyyyyy AAAAAAMMMMMAAAAZZZIIIIINGGG! I could see beautiful fish, the colourful corals and everything that live under the water! O O O O  I LOVED it sooooooooo muuuuuuuch!! I dont have any other words to explain how beautiful it was. Really really really awesome. In my deepheart, I was saying “thanks God for creating this beautiful and wonderful sea”. I was so amazed with everything I saw under the water. But while I was admiring how the life under the water, I again couldn’t breath (mask prob) I took off the mask and I  tried to stand on coral, but unfortunately I couldnt reach them (may be because I am too short hahaha). Brane saw me and he came to rescue me (like a father who saw his daughter sink on the water). He hold my hand and took me to the corals where I could stand. He said “calm down, and breath slowly. Everything is going to be okay. You did a very good job there” he tried to encourage me. but I was so panic and couldnt concentrate to what he say. He asked me if I still want to continou.  I actually felt tired, but I told him that I still want to continou (I think may be because I already fall in love with the life under the blue water). So I started my second chance. Brane guided and showed me where to go. I followed him and another surprise, we saw a BIG FISH!!! WAW!! I couldnt wink to see the  BIG fish. I was regretting and asked to myself “ Why didnt I do this before??!! The life under the water is so perfect and I didnt even realize it?!! oh Nur!! You should do this again when you go to Pasokan!” (well, I planned to buy Snorkling Mask, may be they sell it here). My second attempt was succeded. I was happy with that and it was fun. I dont know how to express my feeling about it here, but one thing that I know, I was in love with the beauty of the life underwater. It was one of the best experience and the best adventure in my life that I will never ever forget.

Many many Thanks to Brane who already spent his time just for teaching me in snorkelling. I wished I could do it for four hours or so, but I should leave Kadidiri before 10 am. You were really a great teacher. I will do it again someday (as you suggested me). for my family in Europe (Barbara, Brane, my bros Xavier and Hector, Jens and Chemille) Thank you thank you thank you very much for inviting me to come to Kadidiri. I LOVED it so much.
